The Frontier Fly Fishing and The Complete Fly Fisherman Fly-Fishing Open Day was held on Sunday 18 May at St Stithian’s College in Randburg, Johannesburg. We had a huge turnout with about a thousand fly- fishing enthusiasts attending. Fly casting demos, fly-tying and book signings by Tom Sutcliffe and Andrew Levy were some of the things on offer. The Frontier Fly Fishing pro team were on hand to demonstrate the soon-to-be-launched Horizon fly rods as well as the Ferrari of fly rods, Sage’s outstanding 5-weight TCR. All in all the day was a tremendous success and is something we plan to make a regular feature in our calendar. Our thanks to everyone who attended and helped make this such a great day. Our next Fly-Fishing Open Day is planned for later in the year and we’ll keep you posted.

New Horizon Fly Rods

Winter Trophy Trout Excursions We have planned two trophy trout fishing excursions for this winter.


The trips will be hosted by Dean and Tom, and because the focus is on a quality experience we’ve kept the numbers down in order to provide a level of personalised service and attention. Our aim on these trips is to impart as much of our stillwater fishing knowledge to our guests as possible. We have put these trips together in response to a huge demand for them. Bookings will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis so book now to avoid disappointment.
